We only collect the minimum amount of information necessary to deliver our TechAssist services:

  • Contact Data: Your billing address, physical home address (for on-site support visits), phone number, and email address.
  • Technical & Device Data: Information about your device(s), operating system, and software versions required to resolve your technical issues.
  • Technical Access Data: Temporary passwords or remote access credentials, if you explicitly grant us permission to help you remotely.
  • Financial Data: Payment card details or bank account info to process payments securely via our third-party payment processor.


3. How We Use Your Data & Lawful Basis

We process your personal information under the following lawful basis:

  • Performance of a Contract: We process your Identity, Contact, and Device Data to fulfill your bookings, visit your home, and provide technical assistance.
  • Legitimate Interests: We use your Contact Data to respond to your initial enquiries, send booking reminders, and request feedback to improve our services.
  • Legal Obligation: We retain invoice records and financial transactions to comply with UK tax laws (HMRC).


4. How We Secure and Share Your Data

We treat your private data and your computer systems with absolute confidentiality. 

  • No Selling: We never sell or rent your personal details to third parties.
  • Service Providers: We only share data with essential third parties, such as secure payment processors or our booking system software.
  • Data Access: During physical or remote help sessions, we only access folders and files necessary to resolve your technical issue. We do not copy, backup, or store your personal files without your explicit, written consent.


5. Data Retention

We only keep your personal information for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes we collected it for. By UK law, we must keep basic information about our customers (including Contact, Identity, and Financial Data) for six years after they cease being customers, for HMRC tax purposes.
